Stag Lane Primary School & Nursery

Each week we have an assembly where we celebrate our achievements. The staff selects a child from their class who deserves to be recognised for what they have achieved either in or out of school that week.  There are many reasons for children to be selected including but not exclusive to; trying hard in their learning; following our school rules of Ready, Respect, Safe, or being a good friend.

These children receive a certificate, gave their name out in our Weekly Newsletter to parents and have 'special lunch' with Mrs Will, the headteacher. 

At the end of the autumn and spring term teachers and staff select children from each class who they feel deserve to feature in our 'Star' videos, for the following reasons. And at the end of the school year, each class selects their ‘stars’ of the year.

Star Learners

These are children who have made fantastic progress in a particular area or in everything!

Star Creatives

These are children who have shown flair or made a real effort in areas such as Music and Art, or have shown creativity in other ways. 

Star Athletes

These are children who have excelled in sports and PE or who have shown outstanding sportsmanship. 

And finally, teachers and their teaching assistants select ONE pupil who has shone all-round to receive the GOLDEN TICKET. In 2022/23 these 'Golden Tickets' will invite them to attend a 'pizza party' with Mrs Will and Lexi!
